Alicia Grant-Sykes—a wife, a mother of two incredible children, a daughter, a friend, and most importantly, an unwavering advocate for the autism community.
The heartbeat of this nonprofit began in my home, with my son—my inspiration, my why. When he was diagnosed with autism, our world shifted in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I found myself searching endlessly for answers, therapies, resources, and guidance. I was overwhelmed, under-supported, and too often, left to navigate it all alone.
I knew I couldn’t be the only parent feeling this way—and I wasn’t.
There was a need.
That need became The Autistic Intellect—a fashion brand I created to spark awareness and foster inclusion. Our designs are more than just unique and stylish. They’re created with intention—using high-quality, sensory-considerate materials that provide comfort for individuals on the spectrum. Each piece tells a story. Each thread is woven with purpose. But as the brand grew, so did my desire to do more.
That “more” gave birth to The Autistic Intellect Nonprofit Corporation.
Because awareness alone is not enough.
Too many families face heartbreaking decisions because insurance doesn’t cover the life-changing therapies their children need. ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy—these essential services are often out of reach. I knew I had to help.
So our nonprofit became a bridge—connecting families to the services, resources, and support they deserve. We offer quarterly sessions where parents can meet directly with professionals, therapists, and doctors. No long waits, no unnecessary appointments—just real, honest conversations that empower parents to make informed decisions.
We exist to guide—to walk alongside families as they navigate the unknown.
We advocate.
We inform.
We support.
We care.
We believe that every child on the spectrum deserves the chance to reach their full potential, and that every parent deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported along the way.
This isn’t just a nonprofit. It’s a personal mission. And I invite you to be a part of it.
With heartfelt purpose,
Alicia Grant-Sykes

The Autistic Intellect Nonprofit Corporation was founded by Alicia Grant-Sykes, a mother, advocate, and creative entrepreneur, whose personal journey through autism began with her son’s diagnosis. Confronted with the emotional, financial, and social challenges that often accompany raising a neurodivergent child, Alicia realized a deep need in her community—families were searching not only for answers and support but also for hope, representation, and access.
In response, she created The Autistic Intellect, originally as a clothing and lifestyle brand. The brand was born from a desire to express the unique brilliance of children on the spectrum through high-quality, artistic, and sensory-conscious apparel. Each item told a story—one of intellect, creativity, and individuality that pushed back against stereotypes and created conversations about autism through fashion.
As the brand gained attention and purpose grew deeper, Alicia recognized that families like hers needed more than awareness—they needed financial support, services, and a sense of community. Thus, The Autistic Intellect Nonprofit Corporation was established to expand the mission beyond clothing and into direct action.
Founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, the nonprofit now provides:
• Financial assistance for therapies such as ABA, speech, occupational, and equine therapy
• Community events like the 5K Bubble Run and the Champagne & Flame Gala
• Educational workshops to empower families and caregivers
• Creative platforms for autistic individuals to showcase their talents and voices
• Long-term goals including opening a specialized school for children on the spectrum
Rooted in love, shaped by experience, and powered by a commitment to equity and inclusion, The Autistic Intellect Nonprofit Corporation continues to evolve—advocating for children, educating communities, and honoring the quiet brilliance within every neurodivergent mind.

The Autistic Intellect Nonprofit Corporation exists to empower, uplift, and amplify the voices of autistic and neurodivergent individuals through creative expression, advocacy, and awareness. We celebrate the unique intellect, talents, and perspectives of the autistic community, using art, fashion, and storytelling as platforms for education, inclusion, and social impact.
